About Blue Heron
Built from 25 years inside the mental health system.
Our Story
Blue Heron was founded by a psychiatric nurse who spent 25 years working directly in behavioral health care. Over those years, one pattern kept repeating: good, caring families getting lost in a system that was never built to be understood from the outside.
Caseloads grew. Appointments got shorter. Families were sent home with a diagnosis, a prescription, and very little explanation of what to do next. Too many people fell through the cracks, not because no one cared, but because the system was not designed to walk beside them.
Blue Heron exists to change that. We stand beside families after a diagnosis, a hospitalization, or a crisis, and help them understand exactly what is happening and what to do next.
Professional Background
Our founder is a Registered Nurse with 25 years of experience in psychiatric and behavioral health care, including direct clinical work with individuals and families facing serious mental health challenges.
Why Blue Heron Exists
Mental health care is complicated. Families are often handed a diagnosis and left to figure out insurance, providers, schools, medications, and next steps entirely on their own. Blue Heron closes that gap with clear, compassionate, expert guidance.
Our Values
Clarity
We explain complex systems in plain language, without jargon.
Compassion
Every family we work with is treated with patience and respect.
Integrity
We are honest about what we can and cannot do, always.
What Makes Blue Heron Different
Blue Heron is not therapy, and it is not a medical provider. It is a dedicated navigator, someone who has worked inside the system and now helps families move through it with confidence instead of confusion.
